Let's Talk!

Welcome back to Ascend Legal 101. I'm Ramona and this is the place where we are having hard conversations to help you develop strategies to navigate these changing times by inspiring and empowering you to achieve you personal and professional goals.

We're back... when I say we I mean me.  And all of my guests.  Not all of my personalities; although they may show up from time to time.

This year my intention is to address the most frequent pain points that you bring to me. While my first inclination is always to hit them head-on, we might have to be nice about it so that's what we'll do.

The first and most frequent pain point is the modality in which you'd like to hear from us. It's been really interesting to see people's preferences and what holds their attention.  When we started the Youtube channel many people asked if we would make those conversations available on podcast platforms so we did. When we moved to podcast platforms many people asked if we could write a blog so we did. The content might be a little different on each of the platforms but so what - that's the fun part.

One of my most favourite projects that we are ready to launch later in February are our new online training options. We will start with an online course that I created especially for legal support professionals that was born from in-person workshops that we used to do together. I am so stoked about the first one because it addresses the second most frequent pain point that you bring to me at least ten times a week. While it is titled and geared toward legal support professionals it is absolutely appropriate for all support professionals and administrators. 

Did you catch what I did there? 

That's right. I acknowledged you for the professional that you are.  Because you are a professional. It's not big headed or conceited or sassy to refer to yourself as the professional that you are. It's smart and strategic.  I mean, if you weren't a professional then you'd tell everyone in town about the senior partner's affair or your supervisor's eating disorder. But you don't do that.  Because you are an intelligent professional who values the people around you.

Together we are going to identify, intrinsically know and own our value and values. We'll even put some numbers on that.

There's something for everyone here.  We will continue to address questions in law, aviation, human resources management, dealing with your s**t, and general excellence. I am always excited about connecting legal people, airplane people, HR people, regulatory people, and people just like you and me. We're ordinary people talking about extraordinary challenge and opportunity. Inspiring possibility and empowering leaders (and people who don't think they're leaders... yet... even though they are professionals) to share their vision with industry professionals across sectors and organizations.
